Carreras Lathane – A brief History

Carreras Lathane Associates was founded in 1981 by Ken Lathane and Anthony Carreras. Ken and Anthony first started working together at Haymarket Publishing working on the launch of Computing magazine.

They then worked together at the Recruitment Business – one of the earlier companies placing people in media. They started the business in Regent Street in London’s West End when fax machines were considered cutting edge technology and mobile phones were unheard of! Despite these disadvantages they grew the business with offices in Golden Square into a hugely successful and multi-faceted organisation.

Anthony left the UK and set up the Australian office of Carreras Lathane in 1999 where he stayed until his death in 2008. Carreras Lathane has adapted over the years to accommodate the ever changing nature of the media industry.
