Very long established awards event for SMEs, managed by a hugely respected publisher/events organiser, needs an experienced Sponsorship Sales Manager. This is the most widely recognised and respected event in its field, delivering a series of highly coveted awards, brought to its audience by a client base of international, household-name sponsors, for a glitzy and glamorous evening that attracts over 500 guests. The role will involve managing sponsorship sales for a series of spin-off conferences, researchng and analysing sponsorship potential for all events, developing a pipeline of business to ensure they all come in on budget. There is a well established base of sponsors, but also great opportunities for new business development and for developing creative bespoke packages in line with the clients' needs.
The successful candidate will need a proven track record of selling B2B events sponsorship, together with the ability to take on and grasp the complexities of new marketplaces quickly. You will need to demonstrate a strong history of developing new business in comparable markets. For the future, you will need to show a strong interest in, and the ability to, take on management responsiblity in early course.
